ACS read and publish agreements help your institution sustainably support the transition to open science by growing the amount of work your researchers publish in open access formats, while also providing full access to ACS subscription content. Currently, authors at over 1,500 institutions worldwide benefit from ACS read and publish agreements.
ACS read and publish agreements replace your existing ACS journals subscriptions. These agreements combine full reading access to ACS’ trusted scientific journals and coverage of open access article publishing charges (APCs). Our industry-leading workflow in partnership with CCC RightsLink for Scientific Communications makes the process simple for both authors and administrators: your researchers are made aware of any applicable read and publish agreements when publishing their article, and administrators can easily monitor uptake and expand your program without any IT downtime.

Review your funding request. The Billing Address is the address for the administrative entity of the open agreement, for example, the consortia or institution with which the agreement is associated with. Check that you have agreed to the ACS Terms and Conditions and click “Submit for Approval” to complete the open access funding request.
